With VOLTIFI, the power is in your hands.
VOLTIFI is a mobile EV charging service that is revolutionising the electric vehicle industry in the UK. Our mission is simple: to provide fast, convenient, and effortless EV charging at any time and in almost any location. VOLTIFI does not rely on existing infrastructure which is cumbersome, confusing, and inefficient. Instead, we’ll send one of our mobile chargers to your location so you have more time to focus on what’s important in life.
Here is how the process works:
Maximum response time?
Cost?
Existing infrastructure for EV charging in the UK is problematic for several reasons.
The most obvious drawback of a typical charging scenario is inconvenience.
And when we talk about inconvenience, what we’re really talking about is time.
Sure, you could search for an ultra-rapid charging station to speed the process up. But you may have
to drive 20 minutes out of your way to find one.
Before you know it, the time-saving benefit of an ultra-rapid station has evaporated.
EV charging stations are also inefficient – particularly in the summer on busy arterial routes.
The UK’s approximately 400 rapid and ultra-rapid charging stations in motorway service areas only
have the capacity to charge 682 EVS at once.
It has not kept pace with growth in EV ownership. In Windsor and Maidenhead, for example, there are
just three rapid charge points for just under 30,000 EVs.
What this lack of infrastructure equates to is more lost time. Except on this occasion, you’re stuck
in a queue behind other EV drivers instead of enjoying your holiday.
It also takes time and effort to determine whether a particular charging station is suitable for
your needs.
You first have to consider the station’s charging speed.
Is it rated as ultra-rapid, rapid, fast? Or is it a slow charger such as those found in most
workplaces?
How fast your vehicle can charge and fit into your schedule is also important.
Do you have enough time to charge your EV so that you can make it home?
You also need to consider whether the station offers the right type of connector for your vehicle.
Rapid chargers tend to offer Type 2, CCS, or CHAdeMO connectors, while fast and slow chargers tend
to use Type 1, Type 2, Commando, and 3-pin outlets.
On top of all that, you must also consider the model and make of your EV.
While there are approximately 57,000 public EV charging stations in the UK, some 30% of them are out
of order at any given time.
Many stations are unsafe and unreliable because of poor maintenance, and this is another symptom of
EV charging infrastructure not keeping pace with the growth in EV ownership.
The geographical distribution of EV charging stations also presents challenges.
Almost 50% of stations in the UK are located in Greater London and the South East – more than
Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland combined.
The uneven distribution of charging stations has contributed to a new EV phenomenon.
Referred to as "charging anxiety", it results when a driver worries about the reliability,
accessibility, and distribution of public charge points.
VOLTIFI will not just change the way people charge their EVs but redefine the entire EV industry.
We’re leveraging innovative tech to create a seamless platform that enables EV owners to seamlessly
charge their vehicles.
Our platform will enable drivers to eliminate range anxiety, charging anxiety, and ultimately,
untether themselves from EV infrastructure that does not serve them.
To help us realise this vision, VOLTIFI is on the lookout for strategic investors.
